Rooming List If ..then

Rick

I am using merge fields to do tour lists. I have two clients in each
reservation cell. When I want to make a list I have asked for both names to
appear on the list. The problem is when I have a file that only has one name
say a single occupancy, how do I get the list to ignore the second name
(which is empty) and only show the first one.
How do I tell the merge document If ... is empty...don't list this section
of the file.

If you mean, how can you suppress empty characters at the end of a field (table
cell) coming across from the data source, I'm afraid there's not much chance.
Better would be to split things up into two columns. Then you can use an IF
field to suppress display of the second one, if it's empty.
