Root node defined in provider CurrentNavSiteMapProvider is null, root node cannot be null.

Dear Sirs,
when I'm trying to save some task update in the MS Project Web interface I'm
receiving the error:
"Root node defined in provider CurrentNavSiteMapProvider is null, root node
cannot be null"

On the other hand the changes seems to be stored successfully. What could be
the reason for the error?
