Rotate animation

How canI have an image/shape rotate around its longitudinal axis as part of
an animation sequence? The "spin" effect doesn't provide the rotation along
the axis I want.

You have to fake it. Since the spin occurs around the middle point of the
object, copy the object, place it on the slide and group it with the
existing object. (Make the copy invisible.) Then apply the spin.

Glen has some nice tutorials at
http://www.pptworkbench.com/html/communication.htm Specifically, "Hidden
Pivot Animation" should help you, and there are a couple of others on spins,
too.
