Rotating A Picture in Word 2000

I have a picture that I have placed in a document in Word 2000. I would like
to rotate it about 45 degrees or so but it won't let me rotate it like a
drawing.

I have tried placing the picture directly into the document and then also
inside a text box and rotating the text box, both to no avail.

I am running Office 2000 on Windows XP SP2.

Any suggestions?

Word is not a graphics application. Open your image in something like
Paintshop Pro or Adobe Photoshop... or even MS Paint (although you are
limited to 90 degree rotations there (at least in my version).

(PaintShop Pro is a great graphics program for not a lot of $$ (under a $100
the last time I looked. Originally JASC software - you'll find it now at
www.corel.com).

If you have a digital camera -- you may have software with it that will
rotate your image.

Word 2000 can free rotate clipart -- in certain circumstances. But with
photgraphs... no such luck! (at least as far as I know!)

I was hoping to avoid having to use two programs but instead using only Word;
alas, you confirmed my fears.

I greatly appreciate the help.

Cheers.

A photograph can be rotated just like any other graphic provided you change
the wrapping from In Line With Text to some other style. Select the picture,
which will cause the Picture toolbar to be displayed. Click on the Text
Wrapping button (dog icon) and choose, say, Square. Then you will be able to
rotate the picture.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong -- but I cannot get any options for
rotating a picture in Word 2000 -- regardless of the wrapping style.
