Hi Dave,
I'm assuming you're in Word 2003?
It's likely the grouping of the 'text box' with other autoshapes that can turn off the rotation controls.
As a workaround instead of a textbox you can use a rectangluar autoshape, right click on it and select 'Add text' to add the text.
You should be able to group this shape and still rotate the group, but keep in mind that unlike Powerpoint and Publisher, when you
rotate a Word autoshape that contains text the text doesn't rotate with the shape. You can cut and repaste (Edit=>Paste Special)
as a picture (.png for example) to have it rotate.
============
I have some shapes and text boxes all grouped together and wish to rotate the whole group, but the rotation options are greyed out.
Changing the text wrapping options have no effect. Can anyone please help with this?>>
