Rotating a text box

I'm trying to rotate a text box but I can't find the
command in the Format drop down menu. I did it yesterday
but can't find it today. Word help is no help.

Sorry, my error, I did the text in Photoshop and rotated
it there before I inserted it in Word.

As you've surmised, text boxes can't be rotated in Word. You can rotate the
text in them 90 degrees right or left using the Text Direction command, but
that's it.
