hello. i was wondering if i could actually create tables with rounded edges
in Word. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Thanks!

Not as part of the table itself.
Start by using the rounded rectangle tool on the Drawing toolbar to
create an appropriately sized box with rounded corners. Click inside
it and insert a table (or cut the table from somewhere else in the
document and paste it into the box).
One problem with this is that, if you're making a table of tables
(like a table of contents or a table of figures), it won't "see" the
table's caption inside the drawn box. That can be worked around with a
TC field outside the box, but that isn't ideal.
