Router issue (Mac)

Sorry Windows friends, but I couldn't find a specific Mac site to address
the following:

I have just installed an SMC Barricade Router (7004VWBR) to a Cable Modem on
my G4 running OSX.
I am able to connect fine to the internet using Internet Explorer and
Netscape, but I can't retrieve mail using Entourage.

Can you please advise.

I guess this isn't Entourage specific. Do you get any
error messages? Maybe you could check your POP account(s)
and see if you filled in the correct indications (making
sure the ID and password you use are the ones required for
mail). If you are using a firewall, make sure the ports
corresponding to mail aren't locked.
