routing emails

Hi. I am trying to setup my email server to route emails
coming from an external server, through my internal email
server and out again. When I do send an email from my
external server the message is rejected with an error 550
message. Any thoughts of how I can correct this?

550 relaying denied error, this means that your server is recognising the
email as foreign to your system and maybe not part of your domain. without
knowing what type of server you are running you may be able to configure it
to either accept as a domain name or as an IP address. Need to be careful
what you do though as you could inadvertently make your server an open
relay, which makes everyone apart from spammers just a tad upset.
