Routing Problems in Microsoft Word 2003

MeanKty

I work for a government agency in the Information Technology Department. We
have a problem going on with routing documents from Microsoft Word. Here is
the situation:

On the newer computers that we load with Windows XP and Office 2003 we get
the message:

"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in
Outlook.
Do you want to allow this?

If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No".

Allow Access for..."

When told yes to allow access, sometimes it works, but most of the time it
doesn't.

On the older computers with either Windows 2000 or XP and Office 2000, with
no office updates, the routing works with no problems because the security
update has not been applied.

We don't want to downgrade the new computers to Office 2000 but unless we
can come up with a solution to get the routing to work, that looks like the
only option.

We have tried to use the Advanced Outlook Security program by MapiLab but
that doesn't work either. The Outlook box still comes up no matter what.

I seriously need help in getting this resolved so the department heads can
route their documents as they always had been without this message popping up.

Hi, MeanKty,

You may be able to mitigate this in your Exchange Server environment.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262631/EN-US/#XSLTH3137121123120121120120

However, I'm not an Outlook guru, and you may want to post to an Outlook
newsgroup to see if one of those folks has more information.

For Outlook, I recommend the MS Knowledge Base
(http://support.microsoft.com) and the excellent information at Slipstick
Systems (http://www.slipstick.com).

You may need to disable an Adobe add-in - see this page for more
information:

The article specifies Outlook 2002 SP-3 but I have heard that there is a
problem in Outlook 2003 as well.

Alternatively, you may want to get a free program that will alleviate the
problem - ExpressClickYes. http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/
