RPC over HTTP connection problem

Simon Powell

All,
I have my Powerbook talking nicely using RPC/HTTPS to my work email.
However we have a separate Exchange domain setup using Microsoft's
Provisioning tool for (basically) hosted Exchange mailboxes. I can
connect to an account on them by using the https://address.of.webmail.com
and logging in as normal - however when I try and setup Entourage to
do the same thing it does some weird stuff. It allows me, when
specified of course, to see the public folders and seems to connect
to the box (ie does not error me and goes from Not Connected to
looking like it is online. However that is all that happens. I do not
see the contents of the mailbox and can thus not send/receive. If I
try and force it by Synchronise Now I get a HTTP error - the resource
is not found.....and that is it. Anyone have any pointers here? Can't
for the life of me work out what can be causing this so any pointers
would be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Simon!

Outlook for Windows can connect to an Exchange Server via RPC/HTTP but
Entourage will actually use WebDAV. Have a look at these instructions
first to see if they shed some light on your problem. If not, please
post back.

Hope this helps! bill
