Hi all

I needed to delete and create my exchange profile. No i cannot cannot via RPC over HTTP anymore.Anyone in here that can maybe guide me to solve the problem.I have exch 2003 and outlook 2003.It used to work fine before i deleted my profile. When i click on the More settings button and go to the connection tab i did specify this URL to connect to servername.domain.co.za and did tick off to connect via SSL.

When opening Outlook it says "trying to connect to <servername>" and after a while it shows disconnected

Check if you create the same profile on a box that already has OL RPC/
HTTP profile configured and "in working state".
(If it does work - its more of a client machine network issue)

Also, check if you are able to ping your Exchange server (FQDN).
(Again, if this causes problem seems to be some network layer routing
issues)

Try disabling the broadcomm checksum on your NIC Card.
(This would be a rare instance, however worth a try)

Check if the above steps help you.

I can ping my FQDN from outside the network successfully yes so its not
routing issues as it also worked before

So, basically i would understand that you were NOT able to create
another profile on your own / else's box.
Would it be possible to disconnect / reconnect your mailbox and see if
that helps you out.

No, i can.My mailbox and everything works when i'm connected to the LAN.
What i cannot do is to connect via RPC over HTTP to my exchange when i'm at
home for example.

This only happens now after i did delete my profolie and create it
again.Once again - my profile works only the RPC over HTTP part doesn't
work.
