I have 2 identical laptops, both running XP SP2 and Outlook 2003. They are
configured the same, but one will not connect to the mail server over the
internet any longer. I can telnet to the address port 443 fine, I can use
webmail fine, and I can connect with outlook on the LAN fine.
Again, sitting the laptops side by side, and confirming all settings are
identical. On the same network, one will connect to the mail server, one will
not. I ran outlook /rpcdiag, and in the Exchange Server Connection Status
window, in the Conn column, it shows connection attempts, but --- in that
column. When it is on the LAN, it shows TCP/IP. On the external network, I
should be seeing HTTP/S like the other laptop.
Anyone have anything else for me to try?
