RPC over HTTP Syncronization

I've searched all the posts about synchronization but can't find anything
related to RPC over HTTP. My home computer is not actually on the work
network so I can't get to a shared document but I keep Outlook in sync using
the RPC over HTTP. Can that be done with OneNote? I don't have sharepoint
services set up.
