I have been using this feature in Outlook 2003 w/ XP SP2 for quite some time
and it is working. However, when I select the Out of Office... feature or
Rules and Alerts..., an error message pops up stating " You are currently
working offline. In order to use this command, you must go online and
connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server." I am connected and am able to
send and receive Emails. If I happen to then spark up a VPN connection, I am
able to use the features. I have run the rpcdiag tool and when connected
without the VPN it is unable to connect to the exchange DIrectory type, but
does connect to the Mail type. If I have the VPN running, it establishes
connection for both mail and directories. Anybody got any ideas? It would
be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
