I am trying to configure clients mobile pc's 2003 outlook
accounts to use RPC over HTTP using this article
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=833401 from microsoft
exchange 2003 support article about configuring rpc over
http. I am using small business server 2003 and it's part
of the setup is complete and correct. However when
setting up the clients 2003 outlook account profile to do
rpc over http their is a part of the configuration
process missing--the article recognizes this issue and
suggests adding a registry key to resolve this. The
registry addition does not resolve the issue. Let me
point you to the issue in the article---Step 2: Configure
the mail profile in outlook 2003 to use rpc over http---
#11--Click Connect using Internet Explorer's or a 3rd
party dialer, click to select the Connect to my Exchange
mailbox using HTTP check box, and then click Exchange
Proxy Settings.
(issue)--(click to select the Connect to my Exchange
mailbox using HTTP check box, and then click Exchange
Proxy Settings.) ---
"Is not being displayed"
and the registry fix that is suggested is not working.
The fix is located at the end of the article in the
troubleshooting section.
