RTF files with few hundred KB to 1MB plus with no words when open and read

hi,

Can someone help in this matter?

I had a few files in *.rtf. All these files have contents but when
opened they show blank pages. When converted to PDF, there's only 1
page.

I'm using Word XP & Word 2003.

Can anyone kindly tell me what's going on? I reall have no ideas.
