Outlook 2003
We purchased the Symantec Enterprise Vault application which automatically
archives all email messages older than 45 days to a server. The goal of
archiving is to preserve job related email just in case it might be needed in
court.
Note: This is NOT Outlook archiving, the Symantec Enterprise Vault removes
messages from the Outlook Mailbox and stores them a special server or servers.
However, many email messages should never be archived. With that in mind,
someone asked me the following question:
Can we set up a rule that does the following:
1.Move all email from Company X, Company B, Company C, My Girlfriend, My
Ex-Wife to let's say FolderX.
2.After the message is moved to FolderX, DELETE it after 21 days so it will
not be archived after 45 days.
3. I guess another option would be to delete all messages in Folder X every
21 days. That would ensure no message in FolderX would ever be archived.
Thanks,
Robert
