rules ( for other machine )

I had a profile corruption that required me to restore the outlook.pst file
via copying to another machine. All of my rules do not work because they are
set as above. Is there a utility or import/export utility that will remove
the ( for other machine ). Even exporting to a file & modifying each line in
the rule would be better that doing this task manually.

Any info helps.

This has been a LONG outstanding issue (many years) and many people I know
have been quite frustrated by the lack of an enhancement to solve the problem.

I would like to suggest that Microsoft finally do something about it. I
suggest an enhancement to allow the user to select one or more rules, then
press a button, or select a command, etc. to switch "for other machine" to
"for this machine". The use could select all rules or only selected rules.

Sorry, the only way to fix it is by resetting each rule manually.

Hi,
Go to the machine where you first created the rules.
Tools | Rules and Alerts
On Email Rules tab, select Options
Press Export rules and select a location for .rwz file.

Now go to the computer or account where the rules are not working.

Tools | Rules and Alerts
On Email Rules tab, select Options
Press Import rules and select the .rwz you created in the above step.
Then, from rules window press Apply and OK.

Now your rules should work and "for other machine" should disappear.
It works for me. I hope it works for you.
