"Rules" for Outlook 2007 isnt selectable, why?

Im trying to create a RULE for messages in outlook 2007, but when i attempt
to create one, that selection isnt available, its greyed out. This is for a
..msn email account that i fetch through Outlook 2007.

are you using the outlook connector? you should be able to create them for
the account but they won't work.

I have no idea if im using outlook connector. I downloaded the beta of
Outlook 7. Everything works fine, i get my emails and all, its just that i
cant get my rules to work lol

How are you connecting to MSN? Did you create an HTTP account or do you have
the tool bar at the bottom of Outlook with your msn email address listed?

I paid for the hotmail plus or whatever it is for 19.99 a month so i can
retrieve my hotmail mail through outlook. Yes, I created a http account for
my msn.com email through outlook 2007
