Rules In Error Message

I am TRYING to keep from receiving adult rated emails with subject lines
describing sexually explicit details, I use the rules wizzard. Most of the
time, I get a RULES IN ERROR message that says, "You don't have appropriate
permission to perform this operation". What do I need to do to keep from
getting this error message?? Also, is there a way to filter certain words,
or phrases contained in the "From" line? As far as I can see, I only have
the choice of filtering the "Subject" or "Message body". Any help would be
appreciated. It would be great if it were possible to delete any incoming
emails with misspelled words in the subject line, as most of the ones I
receive get around filters by misspelling certain words.

Rules typically fall short as good tools to combat junk mail. What version
of Outlook do you use?

Hi, I am getting the same error message. i am using outlook 2002. What I find
is one of my rules unchecks itself. The rule is to check for the word SPAM in
the subject line and to permanently delete it and stop processing more rules.
My other rules don't seem to be affected.

Were this to happen to me, I'd export my rules, start Outlook once with the
/cleanrules command switch, and import the rules again to see if that made a
difference.
