Rules intermittently turn off

We have one rule setup which moves a copy of all sent items to an IMAP sent
folder. This rule seems to turn off occasionaly and not sure if its
something we are doing which causes this to happen. I only know of one way
to turn off rules and thats by manually going in and unchecking the box.

If Outlook temporarily loses connection to the IMAP server (something that
my experience indicates can happen with some degree of regularity), I can
imagine it.
