Rules on multiple address books

Outlook 2002
I am working on a rule to filter out mail that my isp has labelled as spam
unless the sender is in an address book.
The trouble is I have seven address books in the contacts folder.
Is there a way I can set it to "unless the sender is in abk1 or ab2 or ab3
and so on?

Since Outlook does not even use address books, one must wonder what you
mean. Post an accurate description. Use the same terms Outlook uses so we
can all be on the same page.

My "Contacts' folder contains 7 subfolders (wot I refer to as address
books) these are the ones that open in to 'To' box of new/forward mail.

Using the Rules Wizard the last option offers the option of "except if the
sender is in _specified_ ADDRESS BOOK!

Click on _specified_ You which you will see each Contacts folder listed that
you have enabled for display as an electronic address book.

but I want to allow post through if it is ANY of them. Do I have to set up
a separate rule for each individual folder ?

Yes. Now you see why most users avoid creating separate Contact Folders and
use Categories to organize their Contacts instead.

Not really. Rules that are based on Contacts Folders are only one of the
reasons it makes more sense to use a single Contacts Folder in most
settings.

Mm.
Thanks anyhow.
