I am running Windows Server 2003 with Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
and have a question about Rules Processing.
What is suppose to happen if an email doesn't match any of my
configured rules criteria? I thought that the email should arrive in
my Inbox. I have three rules and they are as follows:
1. Mail from people in my address book - Keep
2. Mail with words in Subject line that I don't like - Send to delete
folder
3. Mail with words in the Message Header that I don't like - Send to
delete folder.
After each rule, I have Stop Processing set. It seems that all of the
rules work as intended, but if a friend not in my address book sends
me email without matching rule 2 or 3 they still end up in the delete
folder. WHY? I want mail that matches rule 2 or 3 to be
automatically deleted, but those rules catch all emails except those
from people in my address book. I sent email to myself from a
separate account just saying hello and it end up in the deleted
folder.
Any thoughts?
