Rules wizard, deleting old messages

I want to set up a rule in Outlook which automatically deletes messages older
than say a month received from a particular sender. It is clear one can
delete messages received between specific dates, but I want it to be a rule
that looks for messages older than .... and deletes them. Any ideas.

Rules act on incoming messages only and sent messages. They do not have an
"aging" option. Use auto-archive for this. F1 Help will tell you how.

Thanks for prompt response - an aging option would be quite helpful, but I
perfectly understand your point about auto archive. Thanks again

Thinking about this a bit.....

You could use rules and the Run Rules Now function to be more specific than
the AutoArchive can be. eg:

from fred bloggs, received between x and y date, permanently delete it. run
rule now.

But you could just sort by Received, then Group by From and do it yourself
very quickly as well!
