Run an Access Database through Citrix on a PocketPC at 240X320 Resolution.

Can anyone help me do this. Citrix works with the screen
resolution(obviously a cramped desktop) but everytime i try to run the
access db i get an error that i can't run access unless i'm at 640x480.
so is there a switch i can throw that will let me run it in 240x320?
Thanks in adavance.

No, there isn't any switch.

I don't know about Citrix, but I've used the Terminal Services Client on the
Pocket PC and Terminal Services on Windows Server 2003. In the Terminal
Services Client on the Pocket PC you can turn of the screen scaling option.
You then have to scroll around in the Pocket PC screen to see the parts of
the remote desktop that don't fit.

It's not practical to use an Access form designed for a full-size display in
this way. Not only because it is too big, and forces you to scroll too much,
but also because such forms rely too much on the keyboard for data entry.
I've considered the idea of designing some Access forms that would be small
enough to view on the Pocket PC screen and that also reduced keyboard
dependency by using combo boxes, list boxes, and option groups whenever
possible. I have not yet attempted to implement this idea, though. I'm not
sure if I ever will. When you use Access to do something that it wasn't
designed to do, there comes a point where it might be quicker, easier, and
cheaper to use a tool designed for the job (e.g. the .NET Compact
Framework).

Agreed. The keyboard input isn't a problem in this case(using a
barcode scanner that will do all neccasary input) but I do agree about
the screen scrolling. I will probably end up going a different route
was just curious whether this was possible because if it was that would
make for a quick and dirty solution while i worked on a cleaner and
better approch.
