shlibka -

Some software distributors compress their code into a zip file and then add
a small Windows-executable portion of code to make it self-extracting. I
remember when Stuffit Expander would extract the zipped files from such exe
files, but lately I haven't been able to do so.

In any case, I don't think you should expect StatTools to run on a Mac OS.
The web page
http://www.palisade.com/stattools/
explicitly says
StatTools System Requirements:
Minimum Platform: IBM PC compatible Pentium-equivalent or higher, Microsoft
Windows 98 or higher; Excel 97 SR1 or higher. (StatTools will not run with
Excel 97 SR0.); 16MB RAM free.

Thanks. I had a feeling that I would have to run it on PC only but
thought I would check just in case.

Hi,

Why not contact the manufacturer and let them know of your interest in a Mac
version of the product?

It's entirely possible they have one that they don't promote, or that the
product does actually work on a Macs but they simply don't know how to
distribute files.

If it's "fixed", don't "break it"!
