Run macro from desktop

I have created a macro which runs several queries (make tables, appends and
update queries). I have been running the macro through the application.
However, I would like to have an icon on my desktop and run the macro from
there. But, I don't know how. Can anyone assist me? How do I run the macro
outside of the MS Access?

You've got two options:

1.) Simply drag the macro to your desktop or

2.) Use the optional /x macro command line switch, as discussed in this
