run text macro in slideshow

I am a recent user of PowerPoint 2003

I have written a macro which rolls through a sequence of single digit random
numbers and works fine in design mode.

I want to run it from an action button during a slideshow but have no idea
how cause the numbers generated to appear on screen.

I know that I have to use SlideshowWindow rather than ActiveWindow and I
already know the name of the relevant Text Boxes but I do not know the syntax
to cause the numbers to appear

Having played with various options and looked at some of yours' and John
Wilson's previous postings I had managed to get the macro to work in
slideshow but I still hadn't been able to force the onscreen display of the
results.
