Run-time '6' Overflow

Currently I have several spreadsheets that fluctuate
between Excel 2000 and Excel XP. However, they all seem
to eventually run into this scenario.

After opening, editing and saving (via XP) with DOCS Open,
they receive a Run-time error '6' Overflow error. The I
have to evoke End Task to shut down Excel, because it
just hangs and hangs.

If I try opening, editing and saving (vi XP) without DOCS
Open installed, the save might work. However, when I open
the file I receive a prompt that it's locked for editing
by me. However, I don't have it open and there is a
unique file with a name similar to "E5BDD000". I can
restart, but I am allegedly editing the file. I can't
find any information about this mysterious file. Any ideas?
