run time error 1025 when trying to open word XP doc

While I appreciate the general information provided the link does no
address the run time error 1025. One approach that worked for me an
that I was able to utilize when attempting to open a corrupted wor
document was to use WordPad. Using this method I was able to edit th
document and remove the corrupted information located at the top of th
document, I saved it with a doc extension and life was good onc
again.
