run-time error -2147467259 (80004005)

Receive the following error when I try to print an envelope from integrated
software Quick Books by Intuit. Word opens but receive message:

Run-time error -214767259 (80004005): Method 'Return Address' of oject
"Envelope" failed.

Intuit says problem is microsoft's, not theirs.

which says that the VB code in QuickBooks is not compatible with
Microsoft Word because "the object either does not implement the
ISupportErrorInfo interface or does not provide an error object by
calling the CreateErrorInfo function". I don't use QuickBooks, but one
would think there must be a way to print an envelope from QuickBooks
without using Microsoft Word.

I upgraded to QuickBooks Pro 2005 and one of the new features is to print
envelopes from invoices. From a drop down menu you select "envelope" and the
software opens Word and appears to pull the mailing info - except it never
works I get the run-time error. Would you say I'm stuck with the problem if
I don't understand visual basic? Thanks for your response.

Even if you know Visual Basic, it would be hard to find where the
offending snippet of code is located in QuickBooks. I poked around the
QuickBooks website but didn't see anything specific to the error message
you're quoting. This new feature in QuickBooks obviously has a bug in
it. I would report the error to Intuit, and if enough people do the
same, hopefully Intuit will come up with a fix.
