Run Time Error 3027

I have a Timecard application which uses Access to store info and Excel to
display the info and I merged it with our Purchasing system. Now when I
login it displays information fine but when I try to submit my new
information I get and error 3027 Cannot Update Database or Object is Read
Only.

How do I go about telling if it's read only. I know no one else is in it...
Why else would it be read only?

check if each user has full permissions to
the database directory.

I looked over the permissions and I even moved the database to my local C and
still gave the same error.

then tell us, how you connect to database
and show a represenive code-snipped if possible.
