run time error message

Since downloading an attached file to an e-mail I receive
the flowing message when I open Word.

Run-time error '-2147352565 (8002000b)': Can't move focus
to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of
a type that does not accept the focus.

I can't access the MicrosoftWord File or Tools drop down
menus.
I have tried reinstalling Microsoft 2000 and using the
Detect & Repair option under the Help menue but can't
remove this error. Any help in fixing would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion apparently it is still a
problem in Norton Systemworks 2003
