Run time error when trying to install add-in.

angela

I am using Microsoft Word 2007, and when I click on "Word Options", I then
click on "Add-Ins" and then I click on "Go" next to "COM Add-ins". I box then
pops up saying "COM Add-Ins" at the top, and "Add-Ins Available".

There is then a blank box next to "GDPAddin", I put the check mark in it and
click "OK". Nothing happens. I then go back into the "Add-ins" menu and
again, when you open up the Available COM Add-Ins, it shows GDPAddin
availavle, and at the bottom it says:

Location: mscoree.dll

Load Behavior: Not Loaded. A runtime error occured during the loading of the
COM Add-in.

How do I fix this problem?

Thank you.

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the Add-In? What exactly is
this Add-in?

Yes, I have.

I have also tried uninstalling Microsoft Word 2007, and the program I am
trying to use with this add-in. Still same problem.

The program it's for is called "Gregg College Keyboarding & Document
Processing"

It is a keyboarding program for my college class. When you click on a
lesson, it opens word, so you can do whatever it is your supposed to do for
that lesson. However, since the add-in won't load, it won't work.

When I click on a lesson, it opens up Word 2007, then it goes back to the
porgram and I get the error message "File or assembly name GDPAddin, or one
of its dependancies, was not found."

Then you can't do the lesson. Since the add-in isn't installed in Word.

HAve you installed the update for that program that fixes the issue of
it working with Word 2007? It came out less than a month ago.

I have no idea how you acquired the software, but looking it up I see it
has an update, and if you didn't install said update then you would have
an issue with Word. It isn't a problem with Word, it's a problem with
your software. Excerpt below:

Please note:

Live Update 8/3/07: (Build 10.0.0.80) Home and Campus Software

This most recent Live Update will address the following changes in
functionality to GDP10:

* Word 2007 Compatibility: Word processing exercises now can be
completed in Word 2007

After I posted that last reply, I realized what I needed to do.

I had to turn on "Live Updates" in the program. I then closed it out,
reopened it, and it asked me if I wanted to download the new update. I did
so. It said it was completed. I then closed the program, and reopened it.
Same exact error. It cannot open word because Word is not running the Add-in
it needs. And when I try to add the Add-in in Word, same exact problem. run
time error.

mscoree.dll comes with .NET Framework 2.0 installation, I wonder is
something corupted your installation.

How to manually remove and then reinstall the .NET Framework 2.0
