Run-time error (Word)

Using MS Office 2000 Professional

When I try to open MS Word, the following message appears:
Microsoft Visual Basic
Runtime error '-2147024809(80070057)':
Can't move the focus to the control because it is
invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not allow
the focus.

The upper title bar appears on my screen, but that is all.


I uninstalled Office 2000 and reinstalled it, but to no
avail. MS Excel and MS Access work just fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
