Run time error

I’m using Access ’07, and I have a form that opens from a switchboard for the
end-user. Everything opens and closes without problems until I deselect the
Display Navigation Pane option under Current Database Options. If a user
opens the form from the switchboard, then closes Access (without closing the
form first), they get “Run-time error -2147352567 (8000200009): You can’t
assign a value to this object.†However, if I allow the navigation pane to
be viewed and then close Access without closing the form first, no errors
occur. Or, if the user closes the form, then closes Access, there are no
errors.

I don’t want my end-users to have access to my tables, queries, forms, etc –
but I can’t figure out why this error is occurring when I disable viewing
these objects.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I tried to mimic your situation and i'm able to close without the runtime
error. Looking at the error number it looks like the form is actually trying
to address a certain field to assign a value. The strange thing is though
that it should also do this when you close the form as it shoul close. Is
ther any code in the form that is depending on other values?
