running access 2000 in Xp

I have a splitted database written in access 2000. The
Backend is in a share file in the network and the front
end is distributed in each user machine (mde file) that
runs in run time only. the users don't have acces only
microsoft office. I have used the deployment wizard to
distribute the front end. I have 30 users working in
Windows 98 operating system and everything works okay.
I got 2 new machines with operating system windows XP.
In this 2 machines i can deploy the front end but when I
try to open the database it just don't work. the run time
sr1 is installed in the new machines and nothing.
Does anybody knows if I need any special procedure in
windows XP to make it work? thanks for you help.

I might not have this exactly right, but I suspect that you need to build
another MDE of the MDB, but on a Windows XP machine. I think the MDEs have
to be built on the same systems on which they will run.

I ran into a similar problem and solved it as above.
