Joe

I am running Windows WP Pro that came pre installed on my
Dell Computer. Also pre installed is Office XP without
Access. I installed Access from my Office 97
Professional CD. When I try to start Access I get the
following Error message:

Microsoft Access can't start because there is no license
for it on this machine.

How do I get my old version of Access to work on the new
XP computer????

Help????

Have a look at article 141373 on the MS KB, which explains the reasons for
this, and how to fix it.

Hi Joe,

My name is Michael Noto. Thank you for using the Microsoft Newsgroups.

That error can be resolved by renaminmg a font called hatten.ttf and
reinstalling Access 97.
