I have an Excel 2000 .xls file that runs fine from a
desktop. I just tried to run it from a web server within
our intranet system; openning it from IE. I have two
errors occurring so far.
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
Displays an Error 1004; Method Failed
Is there another way to surpress alerts?
Upon trying to load an external file using a macro it can
not find the file.
Displays an Error 1004; Method Failed
Loading file from my C: harddrive.
fname = Application.GetOpenFilename("Excel Files ....
Workbooks.Open FileName:=fname
Typical file name:
'fname = "C:\Documents and Settings\BIP.xls"
Is there a file naming convention that will get to the
file I want? Tried adding "file://" to the front of the
file name.
Suggestion?
