running macros/vba script on a network

P

Paul Menhennett

I have a vba script with a userform that I want to make available to several
users on our network. I have a shared folder on the network with a mapped
drive and I can access and save todocuments to that folder/drive. I want to
be able to save the script on that drive so the users can execute it from
there and I can update everybody at one time. Can this be done? If yes how. I
have tried saving the macros as a template. I have pointed the file locations
for workgroup templates to that drive. I looked on the knowlegebase but
couldn't find anything and the help files with office were not helpful.
Thank you in advance

Hi Paul

See
Distributing macros to other users
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/DistributeMacros.htm

If you need more information, post back here. If you do, let us know whether
you want these macros to be available for users to apply to every document
they work on, or only to some documents (eg for monthly sales reports, or
letters to customers, or product recall announcements).

Hope this helps.
