Running mpeg2 files on Powerpoint

Ying

Hi,

I am trying to run mpeg2 (containing video only) and .wav
(audio) files in a Powerpoint slide show. The mpeg2 and
wav files must be run simultaneously.

And I am using the 'Schedule Tasks' function in Windows
XP to activate the Powerpoint Viewer 97 to play the
slideshow to play at different times during the day.
(This is for a display at our lobby).

I have some queries .
1) I downloaded the Powerpoint Viewer 97 to run the
slideshow which I had created on Powerpoint XP. However,
when I run the slideshow using the Viewer, I find that
only the first video and audio files run together. The
subsequent videos play but the accompanying audio files
do not play. I do not have this problem when I run the
file within Powerpoint XP. Any idea what could be the
problem ?

2) Is there a newer version of the viewer that could
solve this ?

3) Is there a way to get rid of the message that pops up
at the start which says "Please wait - slideshow is
loading" . I would rather just have a black frame.

I would appreciate any tips or suggestion on this.
Thanks.

Hi Ying,

There is a newer version of the Powerpoint viewer
that should be out in October along with Office 2003.
There is presently an add-in for IE6 to assist with
Web Presentations,
