Running MsProject2003 on WindowsVista- crashes when select resourc

We are using MsProjectProfessional 2003 on Windows XP laptop against Project
server 2003 without any problem so far.
Recently, some of our new laptops are running Windows Vista. MsProject
Professional 2003 SP2 is still running up when we open a published project.
But whenever we select a Resource Name from the list, or select a value for
any other enterprise customized field from the available list, it crashes and
dumped.

This can be reproduced repeatedly in several laptops, so we think that it's
a Vista compatibility problem.

Does anyone see this and do you have any fix or work around for this?

I run Project Pro 2003 on Vista Business with no problem, but not connected
to Project Server 2003. Search Technet to see if SP3 might address this
problem.

This is a known issue w/ HP laptops running biometrics software.
Whenever the user hits a drop down list, Project crashes.

If you think this applies to you, uninstall the biometrics package,
and see if it resolves the problem.
