Hi all,
I am a "forced" convert to Outlook 2003 from Time & Chaos. One feature the
T&C has that I can't seem to live without is the ability to take unlimited
notes for a contact, task or event. For example, you simply have a Notes
"page" for a contact, that looks like this:
[start example]
Tuesday, September 29, 1998 11:01a [IN BOLD]
Office Hours:
Monday & Friday 9am-5pm
Tuesday-Thursday 8am-8pm
Saturday 8am-2pm
Tuesday, September 29, 1998 11:06a [IN BOLD]
Jill took my name and said that she would call when they start offering
cable modems.
Tuesday, November 03, 1998 11:18a [IN BOLD]
Talked to Tony. He said that they will not have internet access going until
Q1 of '99. They are trying to get all of the infrastructure for support,
etc. together before they start signing people up. It will start with being
able to download on cable, but you will have to upload via a modem (over a
telephone line). For this reason, the cost will be lower, initially, than
MediaOne.
[end example]
Hopefully you get the idea. You can add notes at any time, and the BIG thing
is that you can see them ALL at the same time. You just scroll up and down
the Notes pages, as you add more information. You have a separate tabbed
page for notes like those shown above for contacts, tasks and events. You
add the time and date by simply clicking on a button.
My question, of course, is does anyone know of some way this can be done in
Outlook? Possibly with a form? I'm not sure what forms are yet, or how you
use them, but it seems like they might do this? I am making entries into the
Outlook Journal now, but I can't see all of the entries at once, so I think
I am going down the wrong road with that method.
Sorry for the long message. Thanks for your help!
