Running Office XP and Office 2003

Barb

Is it possible to run Office XP and Office 2003 at the
same time, on the same machine? I am currently using
Windows XP and am wondering if I will have a conflict in
my programs. I currently have MS Publisher and I do not
believe that this program will come with the Office XP
version.

Thank you

Hello Eglin AFB!

2003 Pro has Publisher on it :) Just installed it today.

Not sure about running both XP and 2003 simultaneously
though. During install I was confident I wouldn't have
any difficulties and upgraded it without any problems.
The only thing I immediately noticed was the disappearance
of the shortcut bar, which I now understand can be
installed by itself using a previous office version. The
huge improvement in 2003 is that the Outlook e-mail client
is really slick, it has a timed notification translucent
notification message in the lower right-corner of the
screen indicating e-mail arrival and a synopsis of the e-
mail. Really nice for quickly determining whether to look
at the e-mail immediately or not.

On having both XP & 2003 both installed is a question for
someone else to answer.

Hi Barb,

With the exception of MS Outlook you can have multiple
versions of Office on one machine Whether Office XP
includes MS Publisher will be determined by which
edition of Office XP you have. This article may help:
