Running query behind the scenes

I have a field for Date of Last visit. I want to keep a
running list of the dates per patient, even though only
one date will be visible on the form at a time. I don't
want to have to insert a subform. perhaps there is
another way.

Right now, I have a field in the main table: [Dateof
lastvisit]. I created another table only for dates:
[Officevisit ID], [HOSPITAL ID], [dateoflastvisit].
