Running quicktime movies in Powerpoint

I am trying to run a .mov quicktime movie in a powerpoint slide. Win 98 +
powerpoint 2000 (although XP doesn't help). The movie runs OK with
standalone quicktime v6.2 but when I try to run it through powerpint (using
insert, movie fom file etc) all I hear is the soundtrack and see a blank
screen. Any suggestions? It works OK on one of my desktops (Win 98) but
not on any of our laptops.

Thanks but I have already been through all that, I must have a codec missing
or somehow unavailable but everything seems to be intact!
