runs update spX1 everytime you open word or excell

We have win2k os at one of the nave basses and office 2k
pro the 2 cd set with sp1 and the other with sp2 a few of
my systems even as local or domain admin or domain user
loged on runs this install every time you open any word
or excell file. how do you stop this or fix it.
