runtime error - 5798 - for Groupwise address selection

I'm getting this error when i try to open up my groupwise
address book in Word, to add to a envelope. runtime -
error 5798. Address Book Failure: "Unspecified Error".
Check your Mail setup. You must have Extendend MAPI
version 1.0 or higher to use this feature. I have
windows messenger 4.7 installed, windows XP, OFFICE 2003,
Word 2003, Groupwise 6.5.1
