Runtime Error in Outlook 2000

The message I am getting occurs when I try to open Outlook. Here's the error
"Runtime Error!
Program C:\Program~1\Microsoft\Office\Outlook.exe.

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
